Cavehill Consulting is partnering with a premier global life reinsurer to recruit a Valuation Actuary for a key 12-month fixed-term contract within their Dublin-based Corporate Actuarial Team. 

This is a high-visibility role where you will be responsible for quarterly and annual Solvency II reporting tasks. It offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a multinational environment, contributing to model uplifts, documentation, and risk management analytics while collaborating with teams across the wider EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Reporting: Maintain and run Solvency II processes and models to perform quarterly and annual calculations and prepare regulatory returns.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Assist in the production of Solvency II documentation and support other regulatory reporting requirements and information requests.

  • Risk Management: Maintain risk management analytics tools, including ORSA and ALM models, ensuring risks are appropriately calculated and presented.

  • Assumption & Model Review: Contribute to annual assumption reviews and assist in model validation reviews as required.

  • Modelling Support: Drive model development and implement enhanced processes and methods in collaboration with other functions such as IT.

  • Internal Controls: Develop and deploy End User Controls (EUCs) within models to ensure data integrity and process robustness.

Your Profile

  • Qualifications: You are a Fully Qualified Actuary.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) within the Life Insurance or Reinsurance industry.
  • Technical Expertise: * Proven experience in Solvency II (SII) reporting is essential.
  • Strong background in actuarial modelling and process improvement.
  • Experience with ORSA and ALM models is highly advantageous.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively with multiple teams across different time zones.
