Cavehill Consulting is partnering with a global leader in professional services to recruit an experienced Technical Data Manager for their expanding Technology Consulting team in Dublin. We are seeking a leader with a strong technology consulting background who specializes in designing and implementing data asset management systems that support complex business objectives and information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workstream Leadership: Design, shape, and oversee data workstreams for large-scale, data-enabled client engagements.
  • Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to prioritize and document data management requirements for technology change.
  • Solution Design: Conduct gap analysis of existing data lifecycles to design solution options and recommend technology alternatives.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Monitor data integrity throughout transformation processes, implementing controls, fixes, and Data Lineage improvements.
  • Regulatory Alignment: Ensure data solutions comply with internal and external regulations, including impact analysis of principles such as BCBS239.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams to ensure clear communication of the data lifecycle.
  • Thought Leadership: Conduct research and author papers on industry trends and the impact of regulatory changes on data technology.

Your Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with a blue-chip consulting firm in a data leadership position (e.g., Data Workstream Lead or Project Lead).
  • Sector Expertise: Proven experience delivering data-heavy projects for Financial Services clients, ideally in Ireland or the UK.
  • Certifications (Advantageous): DAMA, DCAM, Teradata, or Agile/Project Management certifications.
  • Technical Mastery:
  • Proficiency in SQL and Advanced Excel is essential.
  • Experience with Database Management Systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.) and ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, Alteryx, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Data Governance tools (Collibra, Alation) and coding languages like Python or R.
