About the Role

Cavehill Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join a leading global professional services firm’s Financial Services Risk Consulting team. This role focuses on Conduct Risk and Consumer Protection within the Irish financial services regulatory environment.

You will lead complex, regulatory-driven programmes, manage diverse teams, and engage with senior stakeholders to deliver practical, risk-mitigating solutions. This is a high-impact position for an experienced risk professional with a deep understanding of Irish and European regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across risk and regulatory domains, fostering professional growth and service excellence.

• Monitor and interpret evolving regulatory requirements related to conduct risk and consumer protection in Ireland.

• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and design mitigation strategies aligned with Irish regulations.

• Build strong relationships with clients, regulators, C-suite executives, and industry bodies, translating their needs into actionable solutions.

• Manage end-to-end delivery of complex risk programmes and transformation initiatives, ensuring quality, compliance, and profitability.

• Provide insights and intelligence on conduct risk internally and to clients, developing and sharing specialist knowledge.

• Prepare clear, detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations.

• Manage billing, time tracking, and resource utilisation to optimise project profitability.

• Invest in continuous personal development, staying ahead of industry and regulatory trends.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, Law, or related discipline.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial services risk consulting, with proven expertise in conduct risk and consumer protection in the Irish context.

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and complex programmes.

• Excellent stakeholder management, including C-suite and board-level engagement.

• Deep knowledge of Irish and EU financial services regulatory frameworks.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Qualifications

• Professional certifications (e.g., ICA, PMI, legal qualifications).

• Prior consulting experience within Big 4 or similar firms.

• Project and programme management skills.
