This firm is at the forefront of AI and Data innovation in Financial Services and is seeking experienced professionals to support transformation programmes across Banking, Insurance, and Wealth & Asset Management sectors.

 Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Consultant (Senior Consultant or Manager level) to support data-enabled transformation programmes. This is a client-facing role where you will work on strategic data initiatives that impact risk, finance, and regulatory reporting across Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and business teams to define and document data lifecycle and governance requirements.
• Perform gap analysis of current data processes, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Support data management design and implementation aligned with risk and regulatory requirements (e.g., BCBS239).
• Maintain and improve data lineage documentation and practices.
• Ensure high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Act as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders.
• Lead or support the implementation of innovative data tools, frameworks, and governance solutions.
• Provide training and support on data management tools and processes.

 About You – What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Finance).
• 4+ years of data management experience in the Financial Services sector.
• Proven consulting experience, ideally within a global consultancy or Big 4 environment.
• Strong knowledge of risk, finance, and/or regulatory reporting domains.
• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation), ETL technologies (e.g., Informatica, Talend), and database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Advanced SQL and Excel skills are a must.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver structured PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Certifications in Data Engineering, Data Management, or related fields.
• Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of graph databases or regulatory reporting tools.
• Prior experience delivering MI/BI reporting.
