Cavehill Consulting is seeking a high-caliber Non-Life Senior Consultant to join a market-leading general insurance team in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Take ownership of at least one major workstream, ensuring technical delivery and high-quality reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage client expectations regarding delivery, content, timescales, and costs while assisting in dialogue with key contacts.
  • Executive Presence: Present, or assist senior management in presenting, complex findings to clients at the senior executive and board levels.
  • Business Development: Assist in responding to client proposals and identifying opportunities to build on an existing, diverse client base.
  • Operational Execellence: Drive project efficiency and internal initiatives, ensuring all work delivered is best-in-class.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Create a positive learning culture by coaching and counseling junior team members to support their development.
  • Team Administration: Contribute to essential team tasks, including feedback, recruitment, and finance management.

Our Requirements

  • Professional Background: A successful track record in General Insurance, gained within a top-tier consultancy, specialist financial services firm, or directly with a provider.
  • Qualifications: Strong academic record with a degree and full professional actuarial qualifications (IFoA or equivalent).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work flexibly across different clients and a variety of stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: You must have experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Independent reserve reviews (P&C) under various accounting bases within the London and Bermuda markets.
  • Reserving process improvement and development.
  • Development or review of Solvency II technical provisions.
  • Reserve risk assessment during stochastic techniques.
  • Integrating reserve assessment with pricing, claims, and underwriting.
  • Review of Solvency II internal models and risk management frameworks.
