Manager – Financial Services Risk Consulting (Conduct Risk & Consumer Protection).

About the Role

Cavehill Consulting is partnering with a leading global professional services firm to recruit a Manager within their Financial Services Risk Consulting team, focusing on Conduct Risk and Consumer Protection in Ireland.

This role involves supporting complex risk management engagements by leading workstreams, mentoring junior team members, and collaborating with clients to deliver regulatory compliance solutions. You will play a vital role in helping clients assess conduct risks, develop mitigation strategies, and meet evolving regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client resources and mentor junior consultants, ensuring high-quality delivery.

• Monitor Irish regulatory changes and industry trends in conduct risk and consumer protection.

• Conduct risk assessments and support development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

• Provide insights and intelligence on conduct risk internally and externally.

• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and senior client executives.

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on risk findings and recommendations.

• Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, budgets, and billing targets.

• Lead transformation initiatives to improve client compliance and operational efficiency.

• Promote continuous personal development and share industry knowledge.

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, Law, or related field.

• 6+ years’ experience in risk management or consulting with exposure to conduct risk and consumer protection in Ireland.

• Proven leadership and team management skills.

• Experience leading workstreams or projects.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage client relationships effectively.

• Good knowledge of Irish and European financial services regulations.

Desirable

• Programme/project management experience.

• Relevant professional certifications or qualifications.

• Previous consulting experience is a plus.
