The Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will shape and deliver the firm's strategic vision across the Lloyd’s and wider specialty (re)insurance market. Reporting to the board, you will take full P&L and strategic responsibility, driving growth through targeted acquisitions, organic development, and optimal exits.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Vision: Set and execute the strategic direction of the firm, aligning stakeholders and teams behind a bold and deliverable roadmap.

• M&A Execution: Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities within the Lloyd’s and specialty markets.

• Operational Excellence: Build and optimise underwriting platforms, operating models, and governance structures.

• Market Positioning: Represent the company to the market, Lloyd’s, regulators, and investors — ensuring credibility, transparency, and trust.

• Talent & Culture: Build and lead high-performing teams, embedding a culture of accountability, innovation, and underwriting discipline.

Candidate Profile

• Proven leadership experience at CEO or executive level within the Lloyd’s or specialty insurance market.

• Deep understanding of Lloyd’s governance, capital structures, syndicate operations, and regulatory environment.

• Demonstrated success in M&A, portfolio development, and strategic exits.

• Commercially astute, with an ability to unlock value in complex, regulated environments.

• Strong network within the London and global insurance markets.

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the gravitas to lead at board level and the drive to execute on the ground.
