Cavehill Consulting is proud to partner with a prestigious, high-net-worth investment and pensions advisory firm to recruit an Actuarial Analyst to join their dynamic actuarial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a numerate and motivated individual looking to grow their actuarial career in a technically rich and client-focused environment.
The Role
As an Actuarial Analyst, you’ll support the delivery of high-quality actuarial and technical analysis across a variety of pension arrangements, including:

Small Self-Administered Schemes (SSASs), Self-Invested Personal Pensions (SIPPs), and Defined Benefit (DB) arrangements

Complex individual actuarial advice relating to pension sharing on divorce, trust interests, and pension consultancy

Assisting consultants with bespoke client work, including drafting client reports and attending meetings when needed
You will also play a key role in maintaining and developing the technical expertise of the team, including:

Performing detailed calculations with a strong emphasis on accuracy and analytical rigour

Building in-depth knowledge of the UK pensions landscape, HMRC rules, and relevant legislation

Keeping up to date with changes in regulation, products, and market practices
What We're Looking For
We're seeking an individual with a strong academic and technical background who demonstrates:
-
Progress towards actuarial qualification (completion of some Core Technical exams or equivalent exemptions preferred)

High level of numeracy and mathematical ability

Excellent communication and report-writing skills
-
Strong IT proficiency, particularly with Excel; programming experience is an advantage

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively

Commercial awareness and a proactive, client-centric approach
